Announcements February 22

2/22/2016

  • Mrs. Iwanicki will be staying after every Tuesday and Wednesday during the entire month of February for students who need to complete work. A late bus will be running on these days. If you have a ride picking you up, they need to be here by 4:30. Please make every effort to take care of this work.

  • Attention students and teachers:  The MMS 2nd Annual Dodgeball Tournament will be next Friday, February 26, after school from 1:15 until 3:30 p.m. Who is eligible? Any student/teacher/staff in grades 6 – 8. Why would you participate? To break up mid-winter cabin fever and because smashing your friends with a dodgeball is a blast! This will be a double elimination tournament in the MMS gym. Students and teachers may form a co-ed team with up to 8 players. You may be on one team only! The cost is $5 per player in advance. Proceeds go toward the MMS Track program! Champion medals will be awarded to the last team standing. Best dressed medals will be awarded for the ultimate team uniform!  Start planning your team now! Sign up as a team by picking up a form outside of the library. Forms and payment are due to Mr. Kline by Wednesday, February 24. Even if you don’t want to play, come and cheer on your friends! There will be a $1 admission for fans and parents. Also, “Save a Life” bands can be purchased for $2 to get a player back in the game! Drinks and snacks will also be for sale at the event! Check with your lab teacher for a flyer with more information or pick up a flyer outside of the library!

  • Spotswood girls’ soccer tryouts will be at Montevideo today from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. 8th graders should stay at MMS. DO NOT ride the bus to Spotswood. Please be patient as the players from Spotswood will ride a bus to Montevideo.

  • 6th grade Family and Consumer Sciences Students:  please bring a book to class on Tuesday.

  • All boys interested in trying out for JV men’s soccer, training will go from 4:45 – 7:15 p.m. Please have your ride ready to pick you up at 7:15. Report to the SHS commons area and be prepared for indoor or outdoor training. Remember, you must have a current physical in order to tryout.
