· Attention 6th Graders: You have an opportunity to possibly have your artwork displayed on the cover of the 7th grade planner next year! If interested, your design needs to be submitted on an 8-1/2 x 11 piece of paper to Mrs. Weston by Friday, May 22, to be considered for this contest. Along with your design, you must also include the following somewhere on the cover: The name of our school; the school year (2015-16); and the MMS motto, “Be Respectful. Be Responsible, Be a Team Player.” If you have additional questions about this contest, see Mrs. Weston in Room 120. The winner will be announced at the 6th grade awards assembly.
· We would like to thank both Ms. Ansty and Ms. Beth Webb for being such good sports and opening themselves up to potential pie in the face and ice bucket challenges as MMS raised money for the Rockingham Education Foundation. The school did not meet the $100 challenge falling just $8 short with $92 and some change raised. Our winner was Ms. Ansty, and she will be “pied” in the face during 6th grade lunch (TBA). Congratulations to 6th grade for donating most of the $92 MMS raised for the Rockingham Education Foundation. Thanks to all 6th, 7th and 8th graders who contributed to this great cause! The money will be added to other donations that benefit all the schools in Rockingham County.
