You must have a VHSL physical form on file to participate.

Tryouts for Fall and Winter basketball teams will take place together. All eligible 7th and 8th graders who wish to tryout for the team will begin participating in tryouts on November 6th through November 13th. Boys tryouts will end at 5:30, girls tryouts will end at 5:00. If students are participating in a JV fall sport at Spotswood, they may join tryouts at the conclusion of their season. From these tryouts, two teams will be made; one fall team and one winter team.

Please make sure your child has a VHSL physical form and insurance on file (dated after May 1, 2024) prior to participating or trying out. Click this link to print or pick one up in the front office. Spanish VHSL Physical Forms available here.

Please note that boys will play first on games that occur on Monday; girls will play first on games that occur on Thursday. Away games at Wilbur S. Pence and Elkton will both take place at 4:30.
